The winter sports competition is hosted by Davina McCall and sees celebrities battle it out on the slopes to be crowned the winner.
However, the ski contest has been under scrutiny throughout it’s four-year run due to a number of stars being injured.
And now the programme will have a “rest” next year due to the winter Olympics taking place in Pyeongchang, South Korea around the time The Jump would usually air.

A spokeswoman for Channel 4 told the Press Association: "The Jump has been a hugely successful brand for Channel 4 over the last four years, however, with such a huge amount of winter sport on screen at the start of 2018 we have decided to rest the show for the year."
Since The Jump’s launch in 2014, 34 celebrities have been injured and many have been forced to withdraw from the competition due to their early incidents.
Strictly Come Dancing star Ola Jordan sustained a serious leg injury during training for the series in 2014 and previously admitted her leg “may never be the same”.

While Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding said the chronic pain from a knee injury she sustained on the dangerous ski show in 2016 faced her to pull out of her role in Ghost: The Musical.
Earlier this year, Made in Chelsea star Spencer Matthews was crowned winner of the series after beating Louis Smith, Jason Robertson and Amy Willerton in the final.
