PHILLIP SCHOFIELD'S new game show 5 Gold Rings left viewers frustrated last night as it was hit by severe technical difficulties.

The interactive quiz saw two teams compete against each other by placing gold rings in the correct position on an image on the floor in front of them.
Before the show began, presenter Phillip encouraged those watching at home to download an app so they could play along too.
He tweeted: "If you fancy playing along with us tonight, here's the link to the app #5GoldRings."
However, viewers had problems downloading the software meaning that they were unable to participate.

Many of them took to social media to complain to Phillip, 54, and ITV.
"@Schofe #5GoldRings Like the show but the app won't work," one fan tweeted.
Another wrote: "@5GoldRings If only the app worked... Sort it out folks. Good show as always @Schofe #5goldrings."

Someone else asked: "Anyone else having problems with the app ? It's not working for me @5GoldRings #5GoldRings."
"This is stupid the app just says loading #5goldrings," a fourth grumbled.
While a fifth said: "@schofe @5goldrings the app isn't working for me. Anyone else having app issues? #5goldrings."
5 Gold Rings continues next Sunday at 6.45pm on ITV.
