ITV viewers were certainly not happy when they tuned into the News at Ten last night only to find it had been bumped in favour of new series The Nightly Show.
The Nightly Show viewers SLAM 'truly awful' debut and demand News at Ten is reinstated
HILARIOUS sketch shows David Walliams questioning Trump
The new show began last night with David Walliams at the helm and it was hoped that it would emulate the success of American late night programmes.
Last night's episode included a chat with Martin Clunes, a sketch of Walliams crashing a Donald Trump press conference and a ventriloquist.
Unfortunately, viewers were not impressed with the series' debut and took to social media to demand that the News at Ten be reinstated to its 10PM slot.
One person tuning in slammed: "Whatever possessed ITV to postpone News at Ten for a show featuring a ventriloquist with a monkey. Pretty awful TV so far #thenightlyshow."

Another added: "F**king hell! I've never wanted to see the News at Ten more than now!! #thenightlyshow This is bloody awful, I'm afraid @itv missed the mark."
"Let's see how long it takes ITV to bring back News at Ten this time. If that opening monologue's anything to go by not long #thenightlyshow," a third wrote.
Someone else continued: "@ITV David Walliams #NightlyShow is truly awful, gut wrenching rubbish. Martin Clunes is virtually incoherent, pathetic drivel turned it off."
A fifth begged: "Can we have News at Ten back please? #TheNightlyShow"

While another simply commented: "@nightlyshow really enjoyed the show!"
The series debuted to 3million viewers last night and will continue with David Walliams as host every night this week. John Bishop has been confirmed to take over as presenter next week.
The Nightly Show airs tonight on ITV at 10pm.
