The Walking Dead creator assures fans season 7 WON'T end with a cliffhanger
Viewers were left reeling when they realised they would have to wait until season seven to find out if their favourite character had been killed and slammed creators for the dramatic cliffhanger.
Now creator Robert Kirkman has revealed that following the backlash that followed the finale, the show will not end the upcoming season with a cliffhanger.
He explained: "Look, I think as a creative person I have to acknowledge that all responses are valid, so definitely have to take note that there's a seemingly significant portion of the audience that wasn't with that direction.
"So in that respect I think everyone on The Walking Dead creative team has taken note of that, and I don't know that I would expect a similar cliffhanger at the end of season seven."
Robert said that it's unlikely season 7 will also end with a cliffhanger

Fans are desperate to know which character Negan has killed off
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly about the fans reaction, Robert said: "We could never have anticipated the uproar that happened on the internet over that cliffhanger.
"We're always just sitting down and trying to tell the best stories and do the best job of adapting my material from the comic."
He added that the scene with Negan and Rick Grimes' group of survivors was never meant to frustrate fans.
Instead he simply wanted to keep fans intrigued and was keen to note that their were viewers who enjoyed the finale.
"I know it's just a small portion of the audience, and a lot of people actually like the mystery and are enjoying the guessing game that they're playing over the summer," he continued.
