CORONATION STREET'S Antony Cotton has said he'll miss having arguments with co-star Ryan Thomas, following his sad departure from the cobbles recently.
Antony Cotton has opened up about Ryan Thomas' Coronation Street departure
The soap star, who plays Sean Tully in the ITV soap, claimed the pair loved a "big barney" on the Manchester set as he spoke about him leaving the role of Jason Grimshaw behind.
When asked how he felt about Ryan, 32, leaving, the 40-year-old exclusively told Express.co.uk: "Bittersweet! He’s got the impetus to go out there and see what the world has to offer."
Antony continued: "On a personal level I’m devastated as I adore him, but professionally, I’m thrilled for him.
"I’ve been with the Grimshaws for 14 years… I’m very sad that I won’t see him every day! It’ll be quiet without him! Me and Ryan occasionally love a big barney, so I’ll miss that."

Antony went on to discuss his own upcoming storylines, teasing: "My next little thing, which is very exciting, is a little bit of an adventure maybe with somebody like Norris! It may or may not feature Norris…"

Antony recently signed a new deal with ITV to appear in Corrie for a 14th year, and joked that he'd have been happy with three months.
