The foundation marked its 40th birthday with a lavish bash hosted by Prince Charles, at which This Morning’s hosts admitted to ignoring the strict rule against taking photographs.
“Prince Charles threw a little soiree to celebrate the Trust’s 40th anniversary. Holly and I were lucky enough to be invited,” Phillip explained on the ITV daytime show.
“First time I’ve ever been. It was incredible,” Holly chimed in.
Phillip added: “You are not allowed - if you go to a Buckingham Palace garden party, you are not allowed to take photographs. So it’s worth remembering.”

As the screen cut to the selfie he took with his wife Steph and eldest daughter on-site,” Holly said sarcastically: “How did that happen?”
“I can’t believe we’re ‘fessing up to this, we’re never gonna be invited back,” she added, before a technically forbidden photo of herself and husband Daniel Baldwin was shown.
Phillip had previously posted his photo on Twitter yesterday, adding the caption: “You're not supposed to take pics but!! With two of my girls at Buckingham Palace for @PrincesTrust garden party.”

Alison Hammond also took a photo, a selfie of herself with Phillip - but, as it was taken outside the Palace gates, it was not in breach of any guidelines.
“Happy 40th Anniversary @PrincesTrust loved coming 2 the palace yesterday , tune in later today on @itvthismorning,” she said as she shared the picture online.
