ITV Emmerdale exit 'sealed' as fans 'work out' beloved villager is killed after 37 years

Emmerdale fans seem to think more than one exit will be on the cards after Monday's episode saw things come to a head between Eric Pollard (played by Chris Chittell) and Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) after Eric blackmailed Jai into sacking Victoria Sugden (Isobel Hodgins).

Meanwhile, Tom King's (James Chase) controlling behaviour towards Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) also ramped up a notch after the vet attacked Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson). But has Vinny worked out it was Tom who attacked him?

Towards the end of the episode, Vinny discovered Belle had betrayed his trust after telling Tom he was still a virgin and he looked heartbroken. The vet also probed Vinny about the attack and whether he remembered anything. "Hey, Vin did you sleep ok?" Belle asked as Tom went on: "We didn't wake you, did we?"

After realising Belle and Tom had shared a moment of passion, Tom said: "Yeah we found a way to pass the time. One day my friend you will understand the flames of passion."

"One day?" Vinny asked looking confused as the vet replied: "Oh, that was meant to be a secret. I made Belle tell me and I am glad she did, bud and there is no shame in it. I mean we could always stage an intervention if you like."

"Don't joke," Belle scolded before Vinny awkwardly told the couple to leave.

Meanwhile, at The Hop, Jai and Eric had a heated row, which led the cafe owner to threaten the village stalwart.

"Look, I am grateful for all your help with Amit but this is taking liberties," Jai raged at Eric as he hit back: "You are in no position to negotiate, old chap."

Jai threatened: "I don't need to negotiate, you know what I can do when people cross me, Eric."

"You're threatening me?" Eric said. "What are you going to do? Dispatch me down the stairs?"

Taking to X to share their thoughts and theories, one fan thinks Jai could kill Eric while others are hoping Tom gets killed off.

"And now old Ezza lining himself up for a murder exit. #Emmerdale," one fan suggested.

Another said: "Eric loving blackmail games."

A third went on: "I was liking this side of Eric at the start. Now the way he's demanding the whole menu from Jai he's becoming a proper villain #Emmerdale."

"Not keen on Jai but he really will go up in my estimation if he can come up with a plan to put Eric in his place and wipe that smug smile off his face! #Emmerdale," someone else theorised.

A fifth person commented: "Someone needs to chuck Eric down the stairs, back to his old tricks #emmerdale."

"I cannot wait for Tom’s exit storyline #Emmerdale," another fan shared.

One viewer pleaded: "Who killed Tom whodunnit please soon I beg #emmerdale."
