Emmerdale viewers have 'worked out' what happened to Amit Sharma after a brutal twist in Thursday's episode.

Emmerdale fans are buzzing with theories that Amit Sharma might be making a comeback after a shocking twist in the plot. In Thursday's hour-long episode, viewers were left on the edge of their seats as Eric Pollard continued to investigate Rishi Sharma's death, suspecting it was more than just an accident and pointing fingers at Rishi's brother, Amit.
In last night's episode, Jai Sharma didn't seem convinced by Eric's theory. But, in a surprising turn of events, he revealed in Thursday's show that he knew about Amit's financial troubles.
The two had a heated discussion, during which Amit confessed his involvement in Rishi's death. Jai reacted harshly, pushing him down the stairs, causing Amit to land in the exact spot where Rishi had died.
Amit then admitted his role in Rishi's death, which Jai recorded as evidence. It looked like Jai was ready to hand Amit over to the police for justice to be served.
However, Chris Bisson's character had other ideas. A later scene showed him cleaning up all traces of Amit's blood.

Fans watching the show on social media platform X were taken aback, with some thinking that Amit might not really be dead.
One said: "Amit is probably not dead Jai probably locked him up in the same place he left Charity a few years ago."
Another added: "Really good episode tonight. What’s the betting that Jai didnt kill Amit? It was good to see Amit get a bit of payback though. Now for Tom."
However, others are convinced that Jai killed Amit and hid his body in the suitcase he was seen wheeling away at the end of the episode.
Simy asked, "So is Amit in the suitcase? " while Alan also wrote, "Amit in the suitcase" Corey joined in with, "Is... he in the suitcase? " Fans on social media were full of praise for Chris Bisson's acting in the latest episode. They said his character Jai is becoming cold like Meena Jutla, the show's past baddie.
Lee shared, "Is it wrong I am liking the new Jai? Superbly played by @ChrisBisson who's now channelling his inner Meena."
And @Emmerdale2dae tweeted, "Meena side coming out in Jai. I. LOVVVEEEEE. ITTTTT HAHAHA" Lucie commented, "Bit cold blooded there mate Next serial killer in the village? "
