Coronation Street's Daisy Midgeley devastated as Justin's sister sabotages trial
Coronation Street criminal Justin Rutherford's trial is set to take place next week with Daisy Midgeley and Ryan Connor desperate to get justice for his crimes.
Coronation Street: Daisy and Ryan have heart-to-heart in hospital
Back in March, Justin Rutherford's (played by Andrew Still) obsession with Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordon) took a violent turn.
After turning up to the Rovers on the day of her wedding, Justin attempted to throw acid in her face, but it was Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) who jumped in front and took the brunt of the attack.
The pair have since grown close and tried to move on from the ordeal, but with the trial looming the pair can't help but worry that Justin will get away with his crime.
In upcoming scenes, Justin’s sister Karen Rutherford (Lynn Kennedy) calls at the Rovers, telling Daisy how sorry she is for Justin’s attack and how she hopes he’ll be sent down.
Daisy’s touched by her support, but Carla Connor (Alison King) and Ryan are appalled to see Justin’s sister in the Rovers and a row ensues.

Throwing insults at one another, Ryan lands a blow and reminds Daisy how she went out of her way to split him up from Alya Nazir (Sair Khan).
Later, as Ryan leaves for court Karen admits that she passed on what she gleaned about Daisy’s history of manipulation to Justin’s lawyer.
Ryan lets himself back into Street Cars flat, too distressed to face the court, but when she realises that Ryan fails to turn up at court, Carla desperately tries to call him.
Worried and desperate to get Ryan back in the court, Daisy calls at the flat where Ryan reveals that Karen was spying on them, leaving Daisy stunned.

Daisy begs Ryan to reconsider as without his evidence Justin could walk free, but will he be persuaded?
Elsewhere, Daisy is terrified at the thought of facing Justin in court without Ryan to back her up, leaving her to overthink her evidence.
Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) begs Ryan to reconsider and points out that if Justin walks free Daisy will be in constant fear, but he refuses.
As the usher summons Daisy into court she crumbles into tears and tells Daniel she can’t face Justin and the jury.
Stepping up for Daisy and Justin, Daniel takes the witness box and tells the court how Justin relentlessly stalked Daisy in the run-up to his acid attack.
Overwhelmed with pressure, Daisy decides to do a runner but when Carla spots her, she urges her to stand up and prove to Justin that he can’t control her.
As the defence barrister gives Daniel a grilling, painting Daisy as highly strung and unreliable, Daisy enters the witness box determined to get the truth across.
Will she have the strength to face Justin and relive the attack?
After going back and forth on what he wants to do, Ryan finally enters the witness box and describes to the court how Justin threw the acid intending it for Daisy, but he took the full force causing indescribable pain.
The defence barrister cross-examines Ryan, suggesting it’s he who’s in love with Daisy and they plotted the acid attack themselves, leaving Ryan and Daisy are horrified.
As Justin enters the witness box how will he describe his version of events and how will the court react to his claims?
Is Justin about to walk free and cause more havoc for Daisy and Ryan?
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8pm on ITV.
