National treasure Paul O'Grady, 67, "unexpectedly but peacefully" died on Tuesday evening. The comedian, presenter and dog-lover's death dominated headlines and conversations on screen on Wednesday as several famous faces from the world of entertainment reflected on memories of the beloved star. Former Coronation Street star Sally Lindsay was overcome by emotion as she talked about the "wonderful man" on This Morning.
Appearing on This Morning, Sally, 49, couldn't hold back her tears as she talked about Paul.
Looking emotional, Sally stated: "Yeah he was... what I want to say about Paul and the reason I'm on, is he was a whirlwind.
"He was funny, he was intelligent, there was no one like him.
"But what he was as well, he was a social warrior and he couldn't bear what was going on at the moment, you know, with the working classes and the cost of living.
"He was incandescent about it and he never lost his roots like that."
Looking more tearful, the actress continued: "He was always a very, very real man but also hysterically funny.
"You went out to dinner with him and it was exhausting because you were laughing that much.
"He was just... there was no one like him, and the world is a darker place today."
Other This Morning guests and stars also reflected on the sad loss.
As a familiar face on the show, many shared their unique memories of the popular presenter.
Broadcaster Vanessa Feltz told hosts Holly Willoughby and Joel Dommett: "I'm absolutely shocked to the core, I really am.
"I've known him for years and years and I inherited the bed on The Big Breakfast from him.

"We had a few days of handover and at what point he said, 'Do you want some of my dresses?'
"And I had to think of a polite way to say, 'No, no thank you.' But he was absolutely hilarious and so quick-witted, and so clever.
"He was what's called a polymath, I mean he knew about all kinds of things - science, history."
Paul's husband Andre Portasio announced the unexpected news on Wednesday morning.
He stated: "It is with great sadness that I inform you that Paul has passed away unexpectedly but peacefully yesterday evening.
"We ask, at this difficult time, that whilst you celebrate his life you also respect our privacy as we come to terms with this loss.
"He will be greatly missed by his loved ones, friends, family, animals, and all those who enjoyed his humour, wit, and compassion.
"I know that he would want me to thank you for all the love you have shown him over the years."
This Morning airs on weekdays from 10am on ITV.
