The House Across the Street is airing this week on and the drama tells the story of Claudia, a single mother, who is overlooked by her community. Unable to connect with her son, she longs for someone to confide in. An opportunity comes when a young girl, Emily Winter, disappears and Express.co.uk has all you need to know about who is in the cast.

Who is in The House Across the Street?

Claudia - Shirley Henderson

Claudia is one of the main characters in the series and as she becomes embroiled in the case, she fixates on uncovering the truth herself.

She is played by Shirley Henderson, a 56-year-old Scottish actress known for playing Moaning Myrtle in the Harry Potter films.

Her other credits include The Nest, See How They Run and Stan & Ollie.

George - Craig Parkinson

As Claudia gets deeper into the case, she forges a relationship with George, a mysterious English teacher at her school.

George is played by Craig Parkinson, a 46-year-old actor known for his role as DI Matthew "Dot" Cottan in Line of Duty.

His other credits include Misfits and Whitechapel, in which he played infamous twins Jimmy and Johnny Kray.

He shared the trailer for his latest venture on Instagram, saying: "It won’t be what you think."

Owen - Ian-Lloyd Anderson

Emily's father Owen is played by Ian-Lloyd Anderson, an Irish actor best known for his role as Dean in Love/Hate.

Fans may also recognise him from season five of Game of Thrones, in which he played Derek.

His other recent credits include Magpie Murders and Deadly Cuts.

Sabine - Lisa Dwyer Hogg

Sabine is played by Lisa Dwyer Hogg, an Irish actress known for her roles in Acceptable Risk and The Fall.

Fans may also recognise her from The Royal and The Bill.

She shared a poster for The House Across the Street on Instagram and paid tribute to her co-stars.

She said: "Such a dream cast to work with #ShirleyHenderson @cparkinson76 @ianlloydanderson @ronanleahy396 #sarapowell."

Joanne - Sara Powell

Joanne is Claudia's neighbour and she is played by Sara Powell.

The 54-year-old actress is a British-Jamaican stage, screen and voice-over star known for HolbyBlue and London's Burning.

She may also be recognised for her roles in Damned, Doctor Who and the short film Ruth.

Dave - Ronan Leahy

Dave is Joanne's husband whose aggressive behaviour makes Claudia suspicious.

He is played by Ronan Leahy, a TV and theatre actor known for his roles in Roy and Single-Handed.

Viewers may have also seen him in Proof and Amongst Women.

Leon - Luke Griffin

Leon is Claudia's ex-husband and she shares custody of their son with him.

Luke Griffin plays the character and he had various roles in The Mario Rosenstock Show.

Viewers may have also seen him in The Clinic and Pure Mule.

Rhys - Caleb Wilson

Rhys is played by Caleb Wilson, and not much is known about the actor at this moment in time.

Hopefully, more will come to light about the star as the series gets underway.

Dean - Calum Jess

Dean is played by Calum Jess, an actor whose first recorded role was in 2018 in Dublin Oldschool.

The star has also featured in Signal and has finished filming for the short titled Safe as Houses.

Emily - Myah Mason

Emily is played by Myah Mason, a child actor who is relatively new to the world of showbiz.

Her only previous credit was in a commercial in 2021, so it appears this show marks her TV drama debut.

The four-part drama follows Claudia as she finds out the suspects in a disappearance case are closer than she expected.

The House Across the Street airs on Channel 5 at 9pm.
