Emmerdale heartbreak as Ellis Chapman betrays Belle in exit twist?

EMMERDALE'S Belle Dingle may be left heartbroken when Ellis Chapman makes a huge decision about his future in the village.

Emmerdale: Ryan speaks to Mack after losing adoptive mum

Belle Dingle (played by Eden Taylor-Draper) is smitten with partner Ellis Chapman (Aaron Anthony) but their romance may end in heartbreak.  In the scenes that air next week, the two lovebirds are keeping their budding romance a secret from their family until they’re accidentally spotted together at an auction by Belle’s brother Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley). After an ongoing feud between Cain and Ellis’ dad Al Chapman (Michael Wildman) causes a horrified Cain to express his rage at the pair.

Moments before spotting the pair, Cain is fighting to become the new owner of The Woolpack, which was put up for auction after being set ablaze.

Unfortunately, a mysterious buyer outbids the villager causing his anger to build up.

Only recently, Al discovered that Gavin was pulling out of the development deal after he had a confrontation with Cain and Mackenzie Boyd.

Al then told Chas and Marlon Dingle that their contract deal was off due to Cain's involvement as he declared that the only option left with the pub was to put it up for auction.

While both Marlon and Chas were left heartbroken over the news, the pair make the tough decision to disown Cain over his latest antics.

But for rival Al, he takes an entirely different approach after the uncovering of Belle and Ellis’ secret by inviting the couple for a meal with him and Kerry.

The villager’s offer of support will no doubt provoke a hot-headed Cain to react, potentially causing a bust-up.

Later on, Ellis receives an unexpected phone call leaving him with a big decision to make.

Viewers are left to speculate who was on the other end, and what decision he will be forced to make?

Ellis' exit from Emmerdale has been teased by production, which would be his second departure from the ITV programme.

Will Belle be left when heartbroken when Ellis reveals he's decided to take a job opportunity away from the village?

While Cain and Al’s dispute could come crashing down, producers are set to include their long-standing feud as a major part of a special week for the soap's 50th anniversary, along with a potential village newcomer, ITV bosses have teased.

Speaking about their tarnished relationship, Jane Hudson, the show’s executive producer, revealed: “Cain and Al's feud is definitely not over.

“Something will happen that will make those two have to look at their relationship with each other.

"There's definitely going to be an explosive Cain/Al moment in our special week.”

“I think the audience is really enjoying these two men constantly at war,” she told Digital Spy.

One thing is for sure, the new owner of Wolfpack is yet to be revealed and it could lead to a storm brewing over the residents at Beckindale.

Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) explains that he has taken the day off work so that he can accompany a disgruntled Chas to the auction.

Unfortunately, Chas reveals he has no intention of attending the auction, revealing that she believes Kim Tate (Claire King) will get her hands on The Woolpack.

Speaking about Paddy and Chas’ relationship, executive producer Laura Shaw explained: "I think we’re going to see a lot more pushing.

“Things might get a little bit worse for Chas and Paddy before they get better.

"From the ashes of Christmas Day, we’re going to see a shiny new Woolpack emerge this year and the fight for who’s going to control it will definitely be on.”

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7 pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8 pm on Thursdays.
