The Heist: Million Pound Bank Job
Where to watch: Sky and NOW TV
While Money Heist focuses on a fictional crime, fans might be interested by a reality show looking at how these types of crimes can be pulled off in real life.
Sky’s original challenge show The Heist: Million Pound Bank Job sees a number of law-abiding citizens team up to try and pull one-off.
They are challenged with trying to complete a bank robbery with the promise if they succeed, the cash is theirs.
However, it's not quite so simple as they face a number of trained detectives tracking their every move.
The show has run for two seasons so far, with the second released earlier this year on Sky One.
Prison Break
Where to watch: Netflix
American television series Prison Break has already gone down as one of the best series of the last 20 years.
The show famed for its clever plot and thrilling action follows two brothers, Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) and Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller).
When Burrows is sentenced to death for a crime he didn’t commit, the pair come up with an elaborate plan to help him escape from prison.
The series has aired five seasons so far with some rumours a sixth outing could even be on its way.

Elite
Where to watch: Netflix
While Elite is not a crime drama, fans of Money Heist are likely to fall in love with the high school thriller.
This is partly due to the fact it features a number of very familiar faces in its cast.
This includes Denver star Jaime Lorente who plays Nano Domínguez and Rio star Miguel Herrán who appears as Christian Varela Expósito.
There have been three seasons so far of the teenage drama which follows the students of an elite Spanish private school as they deal with crime and personal relationships.

Evil Genius
Where to watch: Netflix
For fans wanting to know more about some real bank robbery heists, Netflix’s documentary series Evil Genius is one of the best.
The four-part show looks at the high-profile 2003 murder of Brian Wells, which was known as the collar bomb case.
Examining the real case, what happened and what might not have been told in the news at the time, the series is a gripping watch.
While what they pull off is not anything of the scale of the heists pulled off in La Casa de Papel, the true-crime thriller has enough twists to keep you hooked.
Money Heist seasons 1-4 are available to stream on Netflix now.
