Jodie certainly wowed many in her first episode of Doctor Who when she took over from Peter Capaldi as the Time Lord.
However, one former Doctor Who star revealed they didn’t want to watch the actress in the popular BBC series.
Anneke Wills, who played the Doctor’s companion Polly between 1966 and 1967 said she “let go” of the show.
“I have to be honest… I think Jodie is lovely… but I watched most of the first one and then I let go, because it’s not my Doctor Who,” she explained.

Speaking at a press screening for The Macra Terror, Anneke continued: “It’s new Doctor Who for the new world and I’m not part of it, really, anymore - except if they ask me to be in it.”
Meanwhile. Frazer Hines, who starred as companion Jamie McCrimmon, said he “loved” Jodie’s take on the Time Lord.
“I was worried that it was going to be a woman Doctor,” he explained.
“But then when I saw it, I loved the way she kept her accent. It didn’t become terribly PC.”
It comes after Yasmin Khan star Mandip Gill opened up about a potential romance with the Time Lord.
The star told Metro.co.uk: “I’m aware of it now, but at the time I was filming it, it was never a thing.
“It must just be a chemistry between Jodie and myself.
“After it came out, I was like, ‘Wow I didn’t even think that was a thing.’ I didn’t think it was a thing until I saw people mentioning it online.”
Mandip added: “I think it is just a natural thing that can happen between friends or who knows where it’s gonna go.”
Yasmin joined the Doctor in season 10 as a companion along with Ryan Sinclair (played by Toisin Cole) and Graham O’Brien (Bradley Walsh).
The trio followed the Time Lord to various planets and times throughout history and the group are set to return in 2020 for season 12.

Meanwhile, showrunner Chris Chibnall, hinted there will be more focus on Yasmin in the new series.
When asked if she would return to the police force, he said: “That’s a really good question.
“I think that some of these questions may be answered the forthcoming season.”
Mandip added: “If I get my job back, that means that I have to leave the Tardis!”
Doctor Who season 12 will return to BBC One in 2020.
