DANCING ON ICE 2019 is returning in the new year and the couples taking to the ice are starting to be revealed. Here’s a look at the official Dancing on Ice couples.
Wes Nelson announced as Dancing on Ice contestant
Dancing on Ice is back this Janurary. Unfortuantely, ITV has not yet revealed an official release date but usually, the show begins in mid-January and runs until the end of March. Thankfully, all of the line up has been revealed and the skating partners announced.
Dancing on Ice 2019 will be hosted by Phillip Scofield and Holly Willoughby, and skating legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean will return as head judges.

Who are the Dancing on Ice 2019 couples?
Saara Aalto and Hamish Gaman
Saara Aalto is a Finnish singer, songwriter and voice actress best known for coming second place in The UK X Factor 2016, losing to Matt Terry.
Saara is partnered with Hamish Gaman, a British pair skater.
Hamish took to Twitter to announce the news. He wrote: “ EXCITING NEWS! I’d like to introduce you to my new @dancingonice partner... @saaraaalto Who else is excited for the new series? #DancingOnIce #saaraaalto.”
This is Hamish’s second year on Dancing on Ice. Last year he was partnered with Perri Shakes Drayton but they were eliminated in the third week.
Jane Danson and Sylvain Longchambon
Jane Danson is best known for playing Leanne Battersby in ITV’s Coronation Street.
She took to Twitter to announce she is partnered with Sylvain Longchambon.
She wrote: “Super excited its been announced that my #dancingonice partner is the brilliant @slongchambon absolutely thrilled @realsamia - cant wait.”
Sylvain is married to Jane’s co-star on Coronation Street, Samia Maxine Longchambon who plays Maria Connor.
James Jordan and Alexandra Schauman
James Jordan is a ballroom dancer and choreographer, best known for being one of the professional dancers on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing.
After being announced for the show in October, he said: “I can dance but I'm a lot older than I used to be. People are going to probably say I've got an unfair advantage but when I got on the ice I actually shocked myself how bad I was.
“I want to be able to impress Torvill and Dean more than anyone else, but I'm a lot worse than I thought I'd be.”
He is partnered with Finnish professional, Alexandra Schauman.
Alexandra is no stranger to Dancing on Ice having featured in series five, six, seven and nine.
Mark Little and Brianne Delcourt
Neighbours actor Mark Little is partnered with Canadian professional Brianne Delcourt.
About joining the show, Mark said: “How exciting this is! My skating is pretty rickety. I'll be trying to find the elegance, the strength, the smoothness. I'm a bit of a danger man, a bit of a risk taker, and I do like dancing so let's see what happens.“
Brianne was paired with Alex Beresford in 2018, finishing in fifth place.
Gemma Collins and Matt Evers
Towie star Gemma Collins, known as “The GC” is paired with Dancing on Ice veteran Matt Evers.
She said about joining the line up: “I know how hard it is. I've done my research! I am scared, I am nervous. I really want to give it a go. I love the costumes. I love fun factor!”
Matt is an American pair skater and has appeared one very series of Dancing on Ice since it first aired in 2006.
Ryan Sidebottom and Brandee Malto
Ryan Sidebottom is a former England cricketer.
He said about joining the show when he was announced on Talksport Radio in October: “I’m immensely excited. It’s obviously something totally different, massively out of my comfort zone. I’m just going to enjoy the ride, I don’t take myself too seriously. I’m going to embrace it, enjoy it, and have a laugh and a giggle along the way.”
This is Brandee’s third year on the show. She is an American professional skater.
Wes Nelson and Vanessa Bauer
Love Island 2018 finalist is taking to the ice this year to show off his moves with pro skater Vanessa Bauer.
Vanessa won the competition last year with Jake Quickened.
Melody Thornton and Alexander Demetriou
The former Pussycat Doll, Melody Thornton is partnered with new comer Alexander Demetriou.
Demetriou’s wife is pro skater Carlotta Edwards, who skates with Richard Blackwood.
Saira Khan and Mark Hanretty
TV presenter Saira Khan will be taking to the ice with professional skater Mark Hanretty.
Khan said about joining the line up: I’m in it to win it! I thought 'I'm too old, I can't do it, I'm going fall.' And my little boy said 'have you heard yourself mum?' He shamed me into it. I'm doing this for my kids. Honestly, I cannot skate. I've never been on ice skates.”
Didi Conn and Lukasz Rozycki
Grease legend Didi Conn will be dancing with professional skater Lukasz Rozycki.
Rozycki is married to professional skater Alexandra Schauman who is skating with James Jordan on Dancing on Ice 2018.
Brain McFadden and Alex Murphy
Former Westlife member, Briain McFadden will be skating with professional dancer Alex Murphy.
McFadden said about joining the line up:“I'm very excited. I've already been practising out the back garden on my rollerblades and my mum says I'm a one man Torvill and Dean.“
Richard Blackwood and Carlotta Edwards
Actor and comedian, Richard Blackwood will be skating with professional Carlotta Edwards.
Blackwood was one of the first contestants to be revealed alongside Gemma Collins. He said: “I'm training because I know they're going to put me in some tight stuff. There's going to be a lot of shape. I'm training from now!"
