Emmerdale spoilers: Major character to make surprise return? Watch out Joe Tate
EMMERDALE could be about to see the return of a classic character in upcoming episodes which could spell trouble for Joe Tate.
Emmerdale: Joe Tate wishes he never moved to the Dales
Emmerdale has dropped a huge hint at a major character making a possible return to the show after a few years away from the ITV soap.
They released a short clip of a woman in a masquerade mask on their Twitter page which has had fans frantically guessing at who it could be and many believe it could be Kim Tate (played by Claire King).
The soap tends to go all out in October with huge stunts such as floods, motorway pile-ups and the occasional murder storyline.
It seems as though they’re going down a bit of a spooky route if this teaser’s anything to go by.
It’s already been confirmed that Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) is going to host a masquerade ball, which would be the perfect opportunity for Kim to return.
Emmerdale’s teaser shows an unknown woman with blonde hair, wearing a red hood and a gold mask.
It suggests viewers are in store for a big reveal during Joe's masquerade ball and fans rushed to Twitter to guess who the character could be.
Unsurprisingly, there was one character's name which kept popping up.
“Kim Tate returning?” questioned one viewer.
Another said: “I would say Kim Tate or Zoe Tate.”
“I think its a Tate who's been in it in the past,” expressed a third.
A fourth viewer said: “Potentially Kim but who knows.”
Another did some sleuthing and discovered a hint that suggesting Claire’s return as Kim.
“Looks like Claire King has confirmed that Kim Tate is returning to Emmerdale with a picture of Kim Tate as her twitter header photo on her Twitter profile page,” wrote RRobron on Twitter.
This is indeed true. Claire has changed her Twitter profile to a picture of her as Kim Tate, which is very suspicious.
The fan also pointed out on Twitter that both Kim and Zoe Tate has been written out the show but they are still alive, leaving the door open for a possible return.
Some fans also speculated on Twitter that Rebecca White (Emily Head) is the girl behind the mask, which would make for an exciting storyline.
It was Victoria who noticed Seb’s mother first, and the group rushed over to embrace the woman they thought they’d lost.
