29 killed in Kenyan road crash
A collision between a passenger bus and trailer in Kenya has left 29 people dead and dozens wounded.
Police spokesman Eric Kiraithe said the accident occurred about 124 miles from the capital, Nairobi on the road to the coastal city of Mombasa.
Kiraithe said 29 people were killed but that the death toll could rise, as eight of 24 people hurt in the accident had sustained serious injuries. He said most of the victims were adults.
Fatal crashes are common in Africa, where the road network is poor and trucks and buses are often overloaded.
