Briton dies on holiday swim
An elderly British tourist has drowned after being swept away by sea currents in South Africa.
The accident happened on Monday as Peter Copping, 72, from Norwich, was swimming off Kariega main beach at Port Alfred with friends and family.
Police said two of the people he had been swimming with left the water before they realised that he and a 47-year-old woman were in trouble.
The woman was rescued but Mr Copping was swept away by the current.
His body was later spotted about 10 yards from where he had drowned.
