TERROR WARNING: Home of Obama's Air Force One LOCKED DOWN after BOMB THREAT
THE US military base where Air Force One is kept has been placed on lockdown after a bomb threat.
Emergency officials raced to Joint Base Andrews, in Maryland, at 5.15pm after a woman said she had a bomb.
A spokesman said: “The Main Gate is currently in lockdown. All personnel and residents should avoid the area until further notice.”
The airbase is just a 50-minute drive from Washington DC

A woman walked into the Visitor Control Centre claiming to have a bomb strapped to her chest before US military scrambled an explosive ordinance team to survey the scene.
Captain Connie Dillon said no flights were re-directed and Air Force Security was looking into the incident.

Officials later said the incident was over after they had taken a woman into custody.
They said she was not carrying a bomb.
At approximately 5:15 p.m. today, a woman walked into the Visitor Control Center on JBA and claimed to have a bomb strapped to her chest.

Once emergency responders arrived, the individual was apprehended and an EOD team determined no explosive device was on-scene.

The situation has been diffused; emergency personnel continue to secure the area and all base residents/personnel should avoid the area.
