Karadzic supporters stage protest
Thousands of extremist Serbs are pouring into the centre of Belgrade to protest at the government's plan to extradite ex-Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic to the UN war crimes tribunal.
But as the rally got under way, police estimated that only about 15,000 ultranationalists had shown up. That is much fewer people than the Radical party organisers had expected.
Their last big nationalist rally in February drew some 150,000 people to protest over Kosovo's independence.
Officials say Karadzic was captured on July 21 in Belgrade, where he lived under the assumed identity of a health guru
Karadzic faces 11 war crimes charges at the UN tribunal in The Hague, Netherlands.
