A police officer said two policemen were among those wounded in the attack in the Mashtal area of eastern Baghdad on Tuesday morning.
A doctor at a nearby hospital confirmed the casualties.
Violence has dropped considerably since the height of Iraq's insurgency just a few years ago, but attacks continue almost daily in Baghdad.
