Florida Highway Patrol said after a crash on Saturday in Orlando, 31-year-old Nathan Sikkenga told troopers that he and his wife had been drinking, so their nine-year-old son drove their van.
The family was visiting from Gillette, Wyoming. Sikkenga was charged with child endangerment.
On October 8, police say a man from the Detroit, Michigan, area had his nine-year-old daughter drive him to a store because he had been drinking.
Surveillance video from a petrol station shows him saying his daughter was his "designated driver".
The father was charged with child abuse.
