Torment of ‘New Fritzl’ sex slaves
SICKENING claims that an evil father locked up his two mentally-ill daughters for 41 years and used them as sex slaves were being probed by police last night.
Gottfried Wagner, 80, was arrested by detectives after the women – now aged 45 and 53 – managed to escape and summon up the courage to tell the authorities about their claims of horrific abuse.
They allege their father repeatedly raped them between 1970 and May last year in the village of St Peter am Hart, near the Bavarian border in Austria.
It is a crime that bears a chilling resemblance to the case of Josef Fritzl, the Austrian who locked his daughter in a windowless cellar for 24 years and fathered her seven children.
According to police and state prosecutors, Wagner’s two daughters were banned from having any contact with the outside world and confined to one room of the large property. They were never allowed outdoors and were given only a small wooden bench to sleep on.
Wagner, originally from Hitler’s home town of Braunau, allegedly used the room to repeatedly rape his daughters as well as his wife, who died three years ago, using the trio as a secret harem.

He would beat them with sticks and threaten to kill them using one of the guns he was licensed to own.
The women escaped when their father was unable to get up after the older daughter pushed him to the floor after he last tried to rape her.
Their imprisonment has left both sisters severely psychologically damaged and both have been placed into care, prosecutors said.
Wagner denies the allegations and is also in care.
