Bulgarian girl found dead in Greece
Greek authorities have arrested a man on suspicion of abducting, abusing and murdering an 11-year-old girl whose body was found at the bottom of a well in a southern village.
The 41-year-old suspect, an Albanian immigrant who had lived in the village for the past decade, allegedly confessed to the crime and led officers to the girl's body, police said.
The child, the daughter of Bulgarian immigrants living in the village of Eleohori in the Peloponnese region, disappeared after midnight on Saturday.
Authorities issued an "Amber Alert" - a notification system for missing children - while rescuers and police with bloodhounds combed the Eleohori area.
Police said the suspect allegedly enticed the girl into his car by promising to drive her home from the centre of the village.
