A driver took brutal revenge on their neighbour who had been parking in their space for three years.

A 30-minute clip posted on YouTube by towing company Everything Auto saw the company called by the driver who explained their parking woes before getting the black Kia towed away from the property, where it had been left directly in front of a 'no parking' sign.

The footage included audio of the phone conversation between the company and the Kia driver and has quickly racked up more than 123,000 views and over 800 comments.

In the video, a worker is seen attaching the car to the back of a tow truck, ready to be pulled away.

As the camera panned away to show the ‘no parking’ sign, a woman from the towing company said: “There's a 'no parking' sign right there. There's the car. The property owner has asked us to remove it, so that's what we're doing.”

In an audio snippet, the Kia driver could be heard calling to find out why his car had been taken and the worker responded: “Yeah, it was parked on the neighbour's property.”

But the driver argued: “That's my house there. I do live there and also I do not have a parking space to put it.

The woman replied: “He's lived there for a while and he's parked there for well over a year."

The irritated driver replied: “I've been living here for three years.”

Explaining the situation, the worker responded: “The property owner has said that we needed to remove it. They don't want anybody parking on their property anymore.

“They've even put up a sign and you guys parked right in front of the sign.”

The driver replied: “Yeah because I've got no space right now, I have one more car. Where should I park it? My car doesn't fit in the garage because it's too long.”

The back and forth continued for a while and the worker suggested the driver pay to rent a parking space of his own and he agreed he would need to think of a solution.

Following the conversation the worker told viewers: “Come on guys, I mean, if you don't have enough room on your property, it doesn't mean that you can park on somebody else's.”

Although this particular incident took place in America, in the UK it is not illegal to park outside someone's house if a parking space is available on a public road and drivers can even legally park in someone else’s driveway.

However, despite being legal, it is deemed generally unacceptable and police action can be taken if the vehicle is preventing the homeowner from getting off their own driveway.
