30 killed as floods hit Pakistan
Flash floods triggered by torrential rains have killed at least 30 people and swept away thousands of homes in south-western Pakistan.
Officials said on Friday that they had been unable to visit some of the worst affected areas in Baluchistan province.
The meteorological office recorded that 56mm (2.2 inches) of rain fell in several hours in the province early on Thursday.
Government official Taliban Hussain said 30 people had been killed in the region, most in Barkhan district.
Rescue workers assisted by army helicopters were trying to rescue trapped people, he said.
