Urban cowboy comes to the rescue
Two cows that escaped from a trailer while stuck in a traffic jam on an urban US road have been rounded up by a passing cowboy.
Massachusetts state police said a man wearing a Western hat and boots lassoed the 500lb heifers as they wandered across Interstate 91 South in Springfield, one of the state's biggest cities.
Troopers shut the highway for about 30 minutes as the man helped load the animals back into their trailer, which had been bound for nearby Enfield, in Connecticut.
Police said the helpful cowboy didn't want to be publicly identified.
