Children’s hospital on LOCKDOWN after 'BOMB THREAT' in Washington
A WASHINGTON children's hospital was on lockdown following a reported "bomb threat" on Tuesday.
Providence Sacred Heart Medical Centre & Children’s Hospital responded to a “credible bomb threat”, MirrorOnline reports. No one from the hospital has been evacuated. The lockdown has since been lifted after a thorough search of the premises.
Providence Eastern said on Twitter: "A security threat was made against Sacred Heart Medical Center this evening.
"The hospital was temporarily placed on lockdown while Providence Security responded and performed a thorough search of the hospital.
"The lockdown has since been lifted. Patient care was not impacted."
Security are searching the premises floor by floor at 7.50pm.
Liz DeRuyter, a spokesperson for the hospital, said at 9pm that “nothing has been located".
