It's Greece lightning
ELECTRIFYING is the only word for this composite photograph of a series of lightning strikes that lit up Athens.
It was taken by photographer Chris Kotsiopoulos from the Olympic Stadium in the Greek capital.
Chris said: “It was past midnight when I heard thunder from my home, almost one crack every 10 seconds.
I grabbed the camera and drove towards the thunderstorm. I got to the Olympic Stadium and set the camera under a canopy to avoid the intense rain and I started taking continuous shots.
“It was an incredible light show. After 30 minutes I had captured 51 lightning shots.” This picture is a photo sequence of 42 shots.
