Drug-dealing bakers use their loaves
IT wasn't the bread that had people queuing down the street at this bakery but what was inside - a hit of cocaine.
Bakers Michelangelo Alesso, 51, and Alessandro Mancino, 22, hid the drug inside loaves of bread after their business began to struggle.
The pair told police in Turin, Italy that they turned to drug dealing after customers deserted their breaded goods during the credit crunch.
Alesso said: "I had no choice. No-one was buying special bread or cakes any more so we had to find something they would buy or we would be out of business."
Detectives became suspicious when the bakery started to have queues around the corner.
