Mesmerising moment Storm Helene's dangerous winds cause waterfall to reverse - WATCH
THE UK has been battered by Storm Helene and Storm Ali this week and the dangerous 80mph winds caused a waterfall to reverse, captured in mesmerising footage.
Storm Helene: Strong winds cause waterfall to REVERSE
Storm Helene crashed down in the UK earlier this week and battered Britain with strong gusts and heavy rainfall.
The powerful winds caused a waterfall to reverse which created a stunning rainbow in the water.
The mesmerising moment was captured on Mallerstang Edge in the Yorkshire Dales on Tuesday.
Storm Helene, which was downgraded from a hurricane after sweeping across the Atlantic, touched down in the early hours of Monday morning.
Winds on Wednesday were forecast to reach 80mph as Storm Ali swept across the country.
At least one person has been killed as a result of Storm Ali’s strong winds.
A caravan was blown off a cliff in Ireland with a woman still inside. The woman in her fifties was found on a beach after the winds picked up her caravan at 7.45am on Wednesday.
An amber weather warning was set in place between 8am to 6pm on Wednesday as Storm Ali moved towards Britain.

Strong winds will be accompanied by heavy, squally showers
The national weather service warned debris flying could endanger lives.
Met Office chief forecaster Laura Paterson said: “Storm Ali is expected to bring a spell of very strong winds to northern parts of the UK through Wednesday, particularly Northern Ireland, central and southern Scotland and the far northwest of England.
“As this is the first spell of very strong winds of the season, and given that most trees are still in full leaf, we are likely to see some dangerous conditions with falling trees and flying branches and other debris likely.
“Strong winds will be accompanied by heavy, squally showers.”
The Met Office outlook for Wednesday evening reads: “Strongest winds easing tonight, but remaining very windy in the north with gales and blustery showers.
“Clear spells further south, before heavy rain reaches Wales, central and northern England after midnight.”
Storm Ali is Britain’s first named storm of the season, with storm Helene which hit Wales on Tuesday having taken its name from a US hurricane.
