A South Florida retiree is behind bars after she allegedly shot and killed her romantic rival in cold blood.

The victim, known only as "Sarai," was begging for her life before Small allegedly took it from her.

According to the Miami Dade Police, the victim was also unhoused, and Small would occasionally take her into her home to feed her and allow her to bathe.

But it's this generosity from Small that ultimately led to their falling out — a falling out that culminated in murder.

According to Small, Sarai would allegedly abuse her verbally and physically when Small would extend the generous offer.

And then, according to Small, Sarai allegedly began having an affair with Small's boyfriend, a man who is married to someone else.

Security footage allegedly caught Small sneaking up on Sarai in broad daylight, accosting her, and shooting her dead before she could defend herself.

Small is being held in the Miami Dade correctional facility without bail.

Records indicate she is being represented by a public defender.
