Shocking CCTV shows moment innocent man had 'nose bitten off' in bar brawl
The Good Samaritan had his nose bitten off after stepping in to help a barmaid, police say.
Man accused of biting off someone's nose in bar fight
This is the shocking moment a reveller allegedly had his nose bitten off during a billiard club bar fight. The man had been enjoying an evening out at Antique Billiard Museum pool hall in the US state of Colorado when he stepped in to help a female bartender reportedly being harassed by another customer. But the suspected attacker, identified as Cornelius Ellis, started a fight and bit off the nose of the Good Samaritan, it is alleged.
CCTV footage from the pool hall shows Ellis trying to strike up a conversation with one of the bartenders working behind the counter.
The bar owner said the man had allegedly been making inappropriate comments towards the member of staff while she was working.
After the female bartender rejected his "uncomfortable advances", another customer stepped in to have the attacker move away.
But the good gesture quickly erupted into an all-out bar brawl between the two men.

The footage shows the pair wrestling in front of the counter before hitting the ground in an opening between two sections of the bar, with the customer on top trying to hold Ellis down.
Colorado Springs Police Department officer Robert Tornabene said: "When the fight broke out, a man caused significant injury to another person. He then fled the hall."
The owner said the injury in question was the customer's nose, bitten off during the brawl.
Ellis ran from the scene but was arrested shortly after and booked into El Paso County Jail charged with assault.

Tornabene added: "The video helps back up the witness statement and the victim, I should say, the victim's statement of what occurred and how it occurred and the nature of the assault that occurred to the victim."
He KRDO NewsChannel 13: "The business assisted us in identifying where the offender would be and we were able to locate him and take him into custody without incident."
Tornabene said the injured man was quickly taken to hospital after police arrived on the scene.
He added that the Good Samaritan would likely spend "a while" in the hospital due to the nature of the injury.
