LONDON MURDERS: Huge police investigation as man stabbed in Forest Gate
A MURDER investigation has been launched after a man was fatally stabbed in Forest Gate, London in yet another incident of knife-crime which has plagued the capital city.
Emergency services respond to stabbing in Forest Gate
Police were called at around 11.50pm on Monday 16 April, to reports of a stabbing in Chestnut Avenue.
Officers attended the location along with London Ambulance Service and paramedics from London's Air Ambulance.
The victim is believed to be an 18-year-old man who was pronounced dead at the scene at 11.27pm.
This brings the death toll in London up to 60 this year.
Officers are in the process of informing next of kin.
A police investigation has commenced and cordons are in place at the scene.

One Twitter user within the cordoned off scene said there was “blood all over the road”.
A police spokesperson said: “Formal identification and a post-mortem examination will be arranged in due course.
“There has been no arrest at this early stage.
“Any witnesses, or anyone with information that may assist the investigation, are urged to call officers via 101 quoting CAD 8332/apr16.”
Yesterday a young father and a woman in her 30s died within half and hour each other.
The victim died at around 23:30 on Tuesday night
Raul Nicolaie, 26, has been named as the man stabbed to death in Colindale, north London yesterday at around 6pm.
Paramedics and air ambulance crews treated the victim before he was taken to hospital but he died later that evening.
A woman in her 20s who knew the victim has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
In the secon incident, a woman in her 30s was stabbed to death in Brixton, South London shortly after 6.30pm.

London’s knife crime epidemic has gotten so extreme that the murder rate has surpassed New York.
In February, the Metropolitan Police recorded 15 murders in London, while 14 murders were recorded in New York.
The capital’s murders, excluding victims of terrorism, has risen by almost 40 per cent since 2014.
The growing violent crime epidemic facing the UK comes amid eight years of budget slashes to the police service, which have been reduced significantly since 2010, when Prime Minister Theresa May served as home secretary.

Raging web users have called upon Mr Khan to resign after the spate in violent attacks in London.

Another said: “Stop and Search should never have been reduced! This is your fault you should be ashamed.”
This murder follows the fatal stabbings of two people in separate domestic incidents in the capital on Sunday.
