PHILIP HAMMOND has been caught yawning as he struggled to stay awake during this afternoon’s Prime Minister’s Question Time.

Seemingly uninterested and keen to catch some winks, these pictures show the exhausted minister catching flies as Tory MP Damien Green and Labour’s Emily Thornberry went head to head in Theresa May’s place.
At one point Philip Hammond even rubbed his eyes as he desperately struggled to stay awake.
And his yawning marathon did not go unnoticed - eagle-eyed Twitter users took to social media to mock the chancellor.

Mrs May and Mr Corbyn sat out today’s Prime Minister’s Questions, allowing their parties' deputies, Damian Green and Emily Thornberry to take the spotlight.
The Prime Minister pulled out of the verbal joust due to today's visit of the king of Spain, prompting Jeremy Corbyn to also withdraw.
Damien Green stood in for Theresa May
The leaders were replaced by Damian Green in the blue corner and Emily Thornberry in the red, allowing the pair to renew their feisty rivalry.
