Police hunt after man shot in chest during dance floor disturbance in festival’s VIP area
AN EXCLUSIVE area of a music festival was the scene of a shooting sparking a police hunt for the gunman.
A man was shot in the chest at a music festival at Windsor Racecourse
The VIP tent was reportedly packed at the time a man was shot in the chest at Royal Windsor Racecourse on Saturday.
Paramedics rushed the victim to hospital after he was shot in a disturbance on the dance floor.
Police said the 27-year-old was injured after he heard a quiet 'cap gun' sound at the Tea Party Festival at about 8.30pm.
The man, who only realised he had been shot after hearing the noise, is in a stable condition.

A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said that the gunman, who was wanted on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm, was black and was believed to be aged in his 30s.
Detectives who were appealing for further witnesses to come forward with information said the gun was fired at a time when the VIP tent would have been full of people.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Tom Parker, from Maidenhead Force Criminal Investigation Department, said: "A team of detectives is investigating this incident in which a firearm was discharged, leaving a man injured.
"This appears to be an isolated incident however this took place during the popular Tea Party Festival.
"I would like to appeal to anyone who was there who witnessed the incident to contact police, particularly if you have any photographs or video footage, which you may have taken on your mobile phone, of what happened.

“This occurred when the VIP tent would have been busy, so if you were there and took a photo you may have captured the incident.
"Any information you have, no matter how insignificant you believe it may be, could be important to the investigation so please come forward if you have any details."

The festival was billed as hosting some of the biggest names in dance music, with VIP tickets costing £40.
