Tate Modern art gallery in London evacuated
CROWDS of people have been evacuated from the Tate Modern in central London.
The Tate Modern has been evacuated
Witnesses reported an alarm going off as visitors were told to leave the world-famous art gallery on South Bank.
The reason for the security alert is unclear.
The alert comes after the US issued a warning about the risk of terror attacks to Americans travelling to Europe this summer.

Three of London's most popular tourist attractions recorded huge falls in visitor numbers last year, with industry leaders warning the capital's sights had been hit by the aftermath of the Paris attacks.
The National Gallery, Southbank Centre and Tate Modern all recorded significant drops in visit numbers.
The Tate Modern suffered a 19 per cent drop in tourist numbers last year with 4.7million visitors.
The evacuation was part of a regular drill, a spokeswoman for the Tate Modern told Express.co.uk.
