Man held in 'kidnap' probe after US pensioner Roger Curry found wandering in Hereford
POLICE have arrested a man on suspicion of kidnap after a man from the US was found wandering around Hereford with no memory of who he is.
A 50-year-old man has been arrested and bailed by police
A 75-year-old man known as Roger Curry was handed over to emergency services in the town near the Welsh borders on November 7 last year.
West Mercia Police launched an international appeal to try to discover his identity.
As part of the police investigation a 50-year-old man from Taunton, Somerset, was arrested on suspicion of kidnap and has been bailed until June 23 as officers continue their inquiries.
The force said: "The victim remains happy and content and continues to be cared for by Herefordshire Council."
Sergeant Sarah Bennett, who has been leading the inquiries, said: "We would like to thank the public and the media for sharing our appeals to identify him far and wide."
