Sproutrageous: School hunts pupil smuggling unwanted SPROUTS to hide in bags
A SCHOOL has set up a sproutrageous investigation to track down the pupil who is planting cooked Brussel sprouts into his fellow pupils’ bags
The headteacher was not impressed with the Brussel Sprout trick
It is thought the veg-hating youngster is smuggling the sprouts in from his dinner plate at home and off-loading them onto their unsuspecting classmates.
Headteacher-turned-detective Sarah Jarman, said the pupil did the deed last Thursday and this Monday at Monkfield Park Primary School in Great Cambourne,Cambridgeshire.

In a letter to parents she said: "A child who we believe may be in year 3 has been bringing in cooked Brussel sprouts from home into school.
"These Brussel sprouts have been discovered in children's bags - we think in an effort to dispose of them.
"Since we have children in school with severe food allergies, this is obviously a situation which we require your assistance in monitoring."
One father was more impressed with the child's ingenuity than the head teacher's response.
He said: "When I read the letter I laughed. I thought it was a wind-up. The kid should get a medal and a job with MI5. They’re a genius. The kid hid the sprouts from his mum and dad, probably got praise for eating them, then sneaked them into school."
