007 tragedy: SWINGER drowns at James Bond sex party in home counties mansion
A SWINGER has drowned at a James Bond-themed sex party in an upmarket village mansion.
The 35-year-old man was spotted at the bottom of a swimming pool also being used by six others before he was pulled out and given first aid by the owner of the mansion.
Ambulance crews and police immediately rushed to the scene in Radlett, Hertfordshire, but the man was declared dead in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The man had been taking part in a singles night organised by Radlett Adult Parties, which hosts swingers parties on the last weekend of every month at the Radlett mansion.
Richard Stanley, 66, runs the business with his partner Janet Harrison, 58, and was the person who rushed to give first aid to the man.
He said: “Everyone is very shocked including me.
“I heard somebody yell that there was someone lying at the bottom of our pool. There were about a dozen people there at the time and about six in the water. I dived in and pulled the man out.
“There was a nurse present too and we gave him first aid.
"I didn’t stop CPR until the ambulance crew turned up but sadly he was declared dead at the scene. We don’t know whether it was a heart attack - I gather a post-mortem is being held this week to find out what happened.
“We’ve never had a tragedy like this before. It was horrible to witness and I feel very sorry for the man’s family. The police said the death was not suspicious.”

According to another swinger, the "party was only just getting started" when the tragedy struck.
Radlett Adult Parties swung into the nation's spotlight last year after featuring on Channel 4 series 'Jon Richardson Grow Up', where the comedian travelled around the UK looking at the modern aspects of becoming an adult.
The companies website says: "Radlett is one of the UK's most well established and popular swinging parties. Perfect for newbies and experienced swingers alike."
Facilities at the mansion, set in three "secluded acres", include a 16-metre indoor pool, dance room with a pole, sauna and a hot tub.
A notice on their website says: "Please avoid the Red Lion hotel in the village who have let us know they find any association with the hot blooded sexual Olympians who frequent our parties offensive."
It also tells swingers to "bring 50 per cent more drink than you would normally take to a party - this much fun really is thirsty work".
A Hertfordshire Police spokesman said: “Police were called to a social gathering at Radlett at 12.45am on Saturday 28th March.
“When we attended we found a man had died at the scene.
“An investigation is under way into the death and a post-mortem will be held next week.”
