Woman fabricated rape claim to reconcile with mother
AN ADDICT falsely claimed she had been raped in a cynical bid to win over her mother.

Lisa-Jayne Samuels, 29, lied to police telling them she had been the victim of a horrific sex attack after her drink was spiked during a night out.
The mother-of-four even identified innocent man, Terry Brown, as her attacker before later admitting making the whole story up in a sick ploy to win back the support of her mother.
In court it was revealed the shame-faced liar had previously concocted THREE rape claims in a twisted bid to gain sympathy from family and friends.
The court heard how the effects of her lies had been devastating on Mr Brown – who had been forced to move house to escape vigilante mobs and had lost contact with his children.
Samuels told police she had been raped after leaving the Last Post pub in Southend in the early hours of October 10 2012.
She said someone had spiked her drink and then she had been sexually assaulted on the cliffs overlooking the town's sea front.
She gave the authorities the name and description of Mr Brown, of Basildon, who she knew, and identified him in a police line-up.
Samuels then waited a YEAR before admitting to police she had made the allegation up.
Jailing her on Friday for 20 months, Recorder Anthony Abell said: "Rape is one of the most serious and repulsive crimes there is.
"A false allegation of rape can have dreadful consequences on the innocent person who has committed no crime whatsoever.
Basildon Crown Court heard that Mr Brown had been beaten up by a vigilante mob and his partner had lost a baby because of the stress.
In a victim impact statement read out to the court, he said: "I cannot put into words my feelings towards Lisa-Jayne Samuels. "I have been through so much pain and anguish because of her actions."
Recorder Anthony Abell went even further, saying how Mr Brown "has had 'dirty scummy racist' graffitied on his home, been attacked by a gang of thugs with a large piece of wood so that he could not speak for a couple of days and he blames himself for the loss of a child.
"He was prevented from seeing his two elder children and got so scared he sought help to move away from the area.
"He now misses his family and friends but feels he cannot visit the Basildon area anymore."
The court heard how Samuels called 999 at around 1am on October 10, 2012, claiming she had been attacked. They went through 80 HOURS of detective work, including police line ups.
But they eventually became suspicious when CCTV revealed Samuels had not attended the Last Post on the evening in question and friends in her story were revealed to be fictitious.
She eventually broke down and admitted her web of lies during a voluntary interview more than a year later in December 2013.
In court it was revealed that sick Samuels had previously invented fake rape claims on THREE separate occasions as a teenager.
The earliest, in June 2002, came when she did not want her mother knowing she had slept with a Kosovan man.
Paul Vickers, mitigating, claimed his client had invented the accusation in a desperate bid to reconcile with her mother.
He told the court: "She accepts what she has done was loathsome and describes her actions as stupid.
"You are dealing with a lady who was homeless, intoxicated and in the grip of an addiction, who botched a scheme to enable her to get the support of her mother.
"She wanted to try to get her to feel sorry for her and to take her back and to rebuild her relationship with her."
Samuels, from Southend-on-Sea, Essex, was jailed for 20 months after pleading guilty to one count of perverting the course of justice.
