A BLACK man who was blocked from boarding a Paris metro train by racist Chelsea fans wants the group to be "found, punished and locked up".

Chelsea fans would not allow the man to board the train

The man — identified as Souleymane S. — said he lost his phone in the scuffle in the metro and didn't learn until Wednesday evening that the incident had been filmed.

Because Souleymane doesn't speak English, he said he didn't fully understand the fans' chants of "we're racist, we're racist, and that's the way we like it".

But he said that he clearly understood that the group was "hassling" him because of his skin colour.

The victim added: "Not a single person came to my defence but, in any event, what could they have done?

"I went home without talking about this to anybody, neither my wife nor my children... What would I say to my children? That daddy got shoved in the metro because he is black?"

He said he hoped to bring a formal complaint if he can get the time from work.

"These people, these English fans, they have to be found, punished and locked up," he said.

The incident happened on Tuesday evening, a short time before Chelsea played Paris Saint-Germain at Parc des Princes in the Champions League.

The shocking video has sparked a furious backlash in the footballing world, with Chelsea supporters and high-profile players calling for the fans to be named and shamed.

Prime Minister David Cameron said the incident appeared to be "extremely disturbing and very worrying".British police are also investigating whether the group of Chelsea fans filmed on the Paris Metro train can be banned from attending football matches in future.

Scotland Yard was last night examining the footage and considering issuing banning orders which would block the fans from travelling to future matches.

A spokesman said: "We will, of course, assist French authorities to identify the people involved and support them in any action they choose to take.

"At the same time we will be working closely with Chelsea Football Club."

A spokesman for the Paris prosecutor's office today confirmed the men are being investigated for 'voluntary racial violence on public transport'.

If found guilty, they could face a three-year prison sentence and a fine of £33,000.
