WATCH: Prankster Dad threatens to blast son into space with car ejector seat

A FATHER has become a viral sensation after filming himself threatening to send his cheeky son rocketing into space - with a car ejector seat.

Dad tells boy the car has secret ejector seat which will 'send him into space' unless he behave

Prankster dad Jonny Corbett uses an "SOS" button in his BMW to keep his excitable four-year-old son Charlie in-check.

The 28-year-old dad-of-two hovers his hand over the red switch whenever his cheeky son starts to squirm in his car seat.

"Charlie, can you see the button? Can you tell me what it does?" Mr Corbett asks his little boy in the one-and-a-half minute video online clip.

Charlie quickly replies: "I go into space."

Corporate salesman Mr Corbett, of York, filmed his son's hilarious reaction as he reaches for the button.

Charlie shouts: "No, no, no, don't press it.

"No, Daddy, no. Just close it up.

"Daddy, if I tell you I love you and I kiss you and I want to play with you, that means I never go into space."

The viral video was filmed while the father and son were waiting for mum Bethany, 31, and daughter, Annabelle, 18 months, while they picked up some shopping.

Mr Corbett said: "We’ve been having fun with the ejector seat button for as long as we can remember.

"I now reveal the button if Charlie gets a bit twitchy when he’s sat bored strapped in the car.

"I often video us doing things and thought Charlie looked really funny. It was only when I uploaded it to Facebook that I was astounded by how many people started liking it.

"It is a funny video. I’m really not that mean to Charlie. We’re just having fun."

The button is a new addition to the latest BMW models. It allows a driver to send out an alert in the event of an accident.
