Chef Harry Doherty, 19, placed an order for 500 tablets over the internet with a supplier in the Netherlands so he could sell them on Manchester’s club scene.

The parcel was intercepted by customs officials at Heathrow who became suspicious of its contents.

They checked the destination to find it was addressed to Doherty at the house he shared with his parents in Levenshulme, Manchester.

When they raided his bedroom and asked whether there were any drugs in the house, he replied: “Yes, I ordered a parcel off the internet but it hasn’t arrived.”

At Manchester Crown Court, Doherty, now 20, admitted importing Class A drugs, possession with intent to supply and possession of cannabis.
