Mum charged with murder of baby daughter who went missing from London hotel
POLICE have charged a woman with murder after her baby went missing from a London hotel room.
A mother has been charged with the murder of her baby daughter
Federica Boscolo-Gnolo, 31, reported the disappearance of her two-month-old daughter from the hotel in the Hammersmith and Fulham area, west London.
After a number of enquiries, officers charged Boscolo-Gnolo, an Italian national, with the child's murder on Thursday.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “Officers from the Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating and, although no body has been found, detectives obtained authority to charge Federica Boscolo-Gnolo with murder.
“Enquiries continue to establish the full circumstances of the baby's disappearance.”
Baby Farah Boscolo-Gnolo was born on November 22 before her mother travelled to the UK from Chioggia, near Venice in Italy.
Boscolo-Gnolo appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court and is due to appear at the Old Bailey on February 3.
