A bouncer was allegedly injured in the brawl

The group of Metropolitan Police officers were on a stag do in Lithuania when chaos broke out on a notorious pub crawl in the party town and capital city Vilinius.

A drink was spilled on a man when the Brits allegedly lashed out throwing fists and launching furniture.

A bouncer is believed to have been injured while trying to contain the violence.

They were allegedly seen with blood on their hands as they were bundled into the back of police cars outside the Grand Club Lietuva.

Others were seen slumped in the street while one was crying, witnesses told The Sun.

Enquiries into what has taken place are ongoing but are at an early stage

Met Police spokesman

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said all seven were uniformed officers who work as bobbies on the beat, but would not say which boroughs they cover.

They are being investigated by the force’s standards committee, the Directorate of Professional Standards.

They have not been suspended but if they are charged “it’s a possibility” they could be, the spokesperson said.

They added: “We can confirm that the Directorate of Professional Standards (DPS) is aware that seven police constables from territorial policing were arrested on Saturday November 22 whilst on leave in Vilnius, Lithuania.

“Enquiries into what has taken place are ongoing but are at an early stage. DPS will liaise with Lithuanian authorities.”

They have had to pay more than £1,152 to be bailed, though it is not known whether they are back at work.
