The 40 tonne lorry was pulled over by police between junction 7 and junction 6 of the M5, near Worcester.
The driver was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol – but officers were shocked at what they found when they peered into the lorry cab.
The passenger seat was littered with cans of strong lager, a glass and a bottle of cider.
Police have now released the shocking image to the public.
The driver was arrested after being breathalysed.

A spokesperson from Central Motorway Police Group, said: "Officers conducting checks with VOSA at Strensham services arrested a HGV driver who provided a positive breath sample of 80mg."
The legal limit for driving is 35 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath.
A drink-driving conviction can carry a minimum 12 month driving ban and a fine of up to £5,000.
