New picture of missing Madeleine is released
A POIGNANT new photo of Madeleine McCann dressed as a pumpkin for Halloween has been released by a Facebook campaign supported by her parents.
The touching first-time published snap shows a happy young Maddie posing in a striking orange fancy dress costume.
The picture was posted on the official Find Maddie Campaign website to mark Halloween on Friday.
A source close to the McCanns said yesterday: “The photo which hasn’t been seen before has been put out as part of the campaign and authorised by Kate and Gerry.”
It appears beside three other images of Madeleine, who went missing from a holiday apartment in Portugal seven and a half years ago, plus a picture of how she may look today.
Thousands of website users are asked: “Have you seen me?” with contact details for the Scotland Yard police investigation Operation Grange.
A message from Kate McCann reads: "Thank you for holding Madeleine in your hearts and reminding people she still needs to be reunited with her family."
