Lucky winner could scoop £150million EuroMillions jackpot - and be as rich as Eric Clapton

AN INCREDIBLE £150million is up for grabs in tomorrow night's EuroMillions draw - with the lucky ticket-holder instantly becoming as rich as Eric Clapton.

The rollover jackpot comes after no-one won the top prize on Tuesday, and players are being lured in by the fact that they could become the second biggest National Lottery winner in the UK.

According to The Sunday Times Rich List 2014, if one lucky winner claimed the entire £150million jackpot, they would be ranked joint 607th richest person in Britain - alongside Eric Clapton and Sir Tim Rice.

But even if luck is not on your side this week, from Friday October 31, EuroMillions is offering a new way to win big.

"Mega Fridays" will take place on the last Friday of each month and will offer new, luxury prizes as well as the jackpot prize.

At the launch draw, players will have the chance to win one of 25 guaranteed £1million prizes - including a private getaway for themselves and seven friends on the stunning Makepeace Island off Australia's Gold Coast.

A National Lottery spokesman said: “We’ve had two big EuroMillions winners here in the UK already so we’ve got our fingers crossed for a third big winner this Friday.

A National Lottery spokesman

"No matter what happens to the jackpot in Friday’s draw, next week promises to be hugely exciting for EuroMillions players here in the UK.

"There’s a chance to win one of 25 guaranteed £1 million prizes and we’ll be giving each winner a head start on the millionaire lifestyle with a once in a life time getaway to their own private island.

“As well as the chance to win life changing prizes, EuroMillions players also help contribute to the £33 million players raise for National Lottery projects every week.”

The EuroMillions jackpot grows each time it is not won, up to a maximum €190million jackpot.

Once EuroMillions has reached the €190million maximum jackpot cap, any additional prize money will be shared between the winners of the next prize-winning tier.

The jackpot has stretched to €190million once before - which at the time of the draw on August 10, 2012 was equivalent to £148,656,000 - and was won by Adrian and Gillian Bayford from Haverhill, Suffolk.

Tomorrow night's impressive sum is the second biggest UK jackpot prize by EuroMillions, following the whopping £161,653,000 - or €185million at the time - which was won by Colin and Chris Weir from Largs, near Glasgow, on June 23, 2013.
