Jailed sex attacker Max Clifford's £6m mansion up for rent
DISGRACED PR guru Max Clifford is trying to rent out his luxury mansion for £12,000 a month while he languishes in jail.
The seven-bedroom house in Hersham, Surrey, currently appears on the website of estate agent Grosvenor Billinghurst.
The mansion, described as "stunning" and a "beautiful seven-bedroom family home", sits on a private estate near Walton-on-Thames.
The house, which sits behind an electric gate, boasts grounds of two-thirds of an acre, a heated outdoor swimming pool and an area "ideal as an au-pair/staff accommodation".
Clifford was sentenced to eight years in prison at Southwark Crown Court earlier this month for a string of historic sex offences.
The media svengali's legal bills are thought to amount to more than £250,000, which could explain why he is attempting to rent out the house.
Before the sex trial, the 71-year-old's fortune was estimated at £10million.
The PR chief's wife Jo was granted a divorce from Clifford earlier this week on the grounds of "unreasonable behaviour".
The divorce hearing, at which neither party were present, lasted just 105 seconds.
He is also facing civil action as three of his victims are set to sue him.
Businessman Richard Hunt, a friend of Clifford, was one of the first to visit the jailed sex offender.
He told his local paper, the Surrey Comet: "I went to see him [Clifford]. I was the first visitor, with his daughter Louise.
"It would be an understatement if I said he wasn't upset.
"I'm quite a hard case sort of chap that doesn't shed a tear easily, but I can say I virtually had tears in my eyes seeing him in such a harsh place.
